PlayItaMiTaMi Ita Mi (2010)- sax, flute, piano, bass and percussion
by Martino Scovacricchi. If I had to describe ItaMiTaMi Ita Mi I think it wouldn't be an easy thing to do.
Every listener hears different sounds from different music traditions around the world. I hear Ireland but again that is only my point of view.
Be free, enjoy and hear anything you'd like to hear in ItaMiTaMi Ita Mi.
The pleasure is in imagining.
by Martino Scovacricchi. In Melancolia Feliz, duality and contrast represent the core structure of the piece. My double nationality has offered me the possibility to observe and explore in depth the traditions from Costa Rica and Italy.
It is not meant to be a description of traditional Costa Rican music nor a reflection upon the Italian one; but a simple confession of a musician turning inwardly.
A brief meditation upon a complex state of mind which melts joy and sadness in a rich mix of contrasting emotions.

Alaide is about the space we need in order to breathe; the space we need in order to think; the space we need in order to move around.
Inspired by natural open space, Alaide uses Kenyan influences to express peace and energize the inner sound in us.
With a sense of moving forward, Alaide, like nature, keeps evolving.
by Martino Scovacricchi. Om is a meditative and introverted piece of music. The sound of the bassoon quartet represents this state with its mysterious sound. Connecting our minds to a sense of slow motion, it allows us to be aware of what is happening inside and outside us. The introspection goes along a traveling path along fjords and mountains where we only feel the purity of the air; we get excited and a feeling of exploring grows inside us quicker and quicker. We are traveling. We are meditating. We are only making music.
